And thats quite a bit of acting in AUF WIEDERSEHEN, PET (ITV 9.0). For Norma is played by Val McLane. And her brother, actor Jimmy Nail, plays the heavy, Oz. Val reckons Jimmy is a big softy. She says: "We see each other very regularly. We are very close. There are only us two kids in the family." Val, whose husband is a joiner on Tyneside, has two daughters. FAME. Meanwhile, she is living in London while appearing in Romeo and Juliet at The Old Vic. "But," she says, "I get home every weekend. I'm Inter-City's best customer." Val, a trades union activist, was responsible for encouraging big Jimmy to get an Equity card, thus launching him on to his spectacular stage and singing career. Her other claim to fame is nearer to the hearts of Mirror readers. She starred with Tom Courtenay and Alan Price as Florrie in the stage musical of our own Andy Capp. ====================================================================== Text (c) Mirror Group Newspapers 1986.
