Holton.
Now I have had
quite a few email queries about this gentleman, and I have
meant for some time to upload more information about him, so
here I go. Gary's early career was in a rock group called
'Heavy Metal Kids'. He then did an extremely brief stint
with cult punk rock group 'The Damned'. He then went on to
make a film called "Bloody Kids", which is sometimes called
"Red Sunday", alongside Gwenyth Strong, who plays Rodney's
wife cassandra in "Only Fools and Horses." Gary was also
involved in a series of commercials on behalf of Bass
Breweries to promote their Tennents pilsner brand. Shortly
before the end of the second series of Auf Wiedersehen, Pet
was filmed, Gary unforunately died from an overdose of
drugs. Fortunately, all of the outdoor scenes had been
filmed by then, that's why he still appeared on the final
shot of the series on Kenny Aimes' boat but if you look
carefully at the casino scene toward the end of the series,
where Bomber lifts Wayne over his shoulders, you can see
that the actor playing Wayne is a stand in, and the voice is
some over dubbed dialogue from the series one episode "Home
thoughts from abroad".
